This page describes how this website handles information from visitors. It applies to this site only, not to any other site or service.
The contact form on this site sends the name, phone number, email address and message a visitor enters to the website's hosting service so someone from Lacey's Digging Services can respond. The form includes a hidden spam-detection field. No other data is collected by the form.
This site includes a chat feature. When a visitor types a message, it is sent to a hosted chat service that uses an AI model (Anthropic Claude) to generate a reply. The last 12 messages of the conversation are included with each request so the assistant can follow the thread.
If a visitor provides a name along with a phone number or email address during the conversation, the assistant treats it as an enquiry and passes it on so someone from Lacey's Digging Services can get back to them. The visitor's IP address is used for rate-limiting.
The contact page loads a map from Google. Opening that page means the visitor's browser makes a request to Google's servers to display the map. Google's own privacy policy applies to that request.
This site runs no analytics software and sets no cookies of its own. It does not use advertising trackers or pixels. The Google Maps embed on the contact page may set its own cookies when the map loads.
The fonts on this site are self-hosted. No request is made to Google Fonts or any other external font service when a page loads.
